I wanted to make my own lazy susan for our family game nights. Something to put the game on so it would be easy to turn the board for the next player.
Tools you’ll need:
- 6 foot 1×4
- lazy susan hardware
- wood glue
- miter saw or miter box (or have home depot cut it for you!)
- stain and stencils are optional

Grab some lazy susan hardware and a 1×4 from Home Depot.
Cut everything to size and then sand and stain your board if you’d like. if you’re staining, GLUE first! And make sure you use wood glue. I have some clamps I used to let it set and keep it pushed together.
I just used the weights to make sure it laid flat while drying the wood glue and then stained when it was dried. Each stain is different so just read the label for drying times.
Let the stain dry for 24 hours if you’re using a stencil on top.
And once you stain it, you may have to sand it lightly again because the stain will make the wood “fur”.
Now attach your lazy susan hardware and stencil and you’re done!
